ALEX BODINE (Director) hails from the Finger Lakes, NY and joined The Rep as Director for last season's The Little Prince. An avid reader who spent his summer days lost in imaginary landscapes and adventures, Alex's pursuit of theatre as a profession was inevitable. A graduate of the acting program at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, and a practitioner of physical theatre disciplines including stage combat, clowning, mask and dance, Alex's work often explores surrealistic, dreamlike playscapes that transport the audience to a new world. Alex is a recipient of the Kenan Fellowship in Directing at ACT, Seattle, and a member of the SDC Observership class of 2018-19. He is a choreographer with the Society of American Fight Directors and spent the 2017-18 academic year teaching the undergraduate stage combat curriculum at UNCSA. Alex currently resides in NY, where he wears the multiple hats of director, actor, choreographer and teacher.
