Sound Engineer

Flint Repertory Theatre is seeking a Sound Engineer for two musicals in our 2019-2020 Season. Report to Producing Artistic Director and Technical Director and work closely with the Sound Designer to implement sound design into musical production. Attend design run, technical and dress rehearsals and production meetings, as required. The Sound Engineer is responsible for supporting the sound needs of live vocal and instrumental performances; setting up the sound playback and reinforcement equipment; mixing the sound live, during all technical and dress rehearsal and all performances.

Personnel Specifications

Previous experience working with sound equipment and knowledge of QLab required. An organized yet flexible approach and calm under pressure. Demonstrable ability to work as part of a team and under your own initiative. Ability to be creative and resourceful in problem solving.
